Jamie Oliver is a famous chef. I watched him give a speech on how parents and schools should be caring more about the food that they feed the kids. Your life is shorter if you're obese. He went into a classroom and showed them several different fruits and vegetables. For example, he held up a tomato and a kid said it was a potato. I thought 'Oh, this is crazy!' One solution to these problems is to teach kids to cook food at home. Jamie Oliver said you should learn at least 10 recipes that could save your life. I like his ideas and thoughts. He inspired me. Check out the video of him talking at TED. What do you think?

Harry, I love the way your blog looks and your writing on this entry is really nice. Sounds like homeschool is off to a great start! Must be your fun teacher that keeps it real! ;)
ReplyDeleteHarry, Awesome dragon picture and blog name. Your writing is really good, it flows very nicely and makes a good point. You are a very smart boy. I am sooooo amazed you learned your 12 times tables in one day. It took me at least a week to learn each set.
ReplyDeleteNice work summarizing Oliver's talk. I too was moved by it, along with Michael Pollan's work on food. Let's work together to improve our diet!

ReplyDeleteHarry, you are an unbelievably good writer. Most college students can't write at this level. I thought this was actually your dad's blog at first. Awesome! Your entire family is geniuses.... I wish I could have written this well at your age.
ReplyDeleteThis is a test comment to show Gramma how to do it.
